1. Local Browser Storage & Gameplay State

Playmaker operates as a static client-side web application. All gameplay statistics, active session states, and user choices are saved exclusively in your browser's Local Storage. This data stays entirely on your device and is not sent to our servers:

• Gameplay Records & Streaks: Your game history, win/loss stats, current streaks, max streaks, and daily completion records.
• Active Session Progress: Mid-game progress for today's active puzzle (remaining lives, revealed clues, steps, and guesses) so you can resume seamlessly if you refresh or return later.
• Cookie Preferences: Your saved choice to accept or decline analytics tracking.

2. Web Analytics & Privacy-First Monitoring

We use Google Analytics with Google Consent Mode to analyze anonymous, aggregated website usage trends and improve puzzle difficulty balance.

By default, before you provide consent, all analytics tracking and advertising storage signals remain strictly disabled.

When consent is granted, analytics tools process strictly anonymized event data (such as puzzle completions, game mode views, hint usage, and suggestion clicks). We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII), names, email addresses, exact geolocation, or cross-site tracking identifiers.

We also capture anonymous client-side runtime error telemetry to rapidly detect and fix broken puzzles, missing images, or JavaScript exceptions.

3. User Consent Management & Cookie Preferences

You have full control over cookie and tracking permissions at all times:

• Initial Consent Banner: On your first visit, a consent banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies.
• Changing Preferences Anytime: You can update or revoke your consent at any moment by clicking Cookie Preferences in the footer of any page.
• If You Decline: Analytics cookies are blocked, Google Consent Mode v2 maintains a denied state, and no behavioral tracking events are logged.

4. Data Retention & Zero PII Guarantee

Because Playmaker operates without user accounts or server databases, we do not store, sell, trade, or share personal user data with third parties. Any aggregate analytics metrics collected via GA4 adhere to Google's standard data retention limits (14 months) and are used solely for website optimization.

5. GDPR, UK GDPR, and California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

Under the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, and California Consumer Privacy Act / CPRA, users have the right to access, rectify, or delete their personal data, as well as opt out of tracking:

• Right to Erase / Delete: Because all gameplay stats exist solely on your local device, you can delete 100% of your records at any time by clearing your browser's cookies and site data for playmaker.best.
• Right to Opt-Out / Do Not Sell: We do not sell or share personal information. You may opt out of analytics tracking at any time via the Cookie Preferences modal.
